FR16 (Fashion Royalty 16 inch) Freja. Now Heavenly Hiraani >>

My 16 inch Fashion Royalty girl arrived yesterday, and I love her! Gorgeous and knows it. She's my boho girl. Totally claimed Ellowyne's ensemble. Really disliked her comb over and ponytail, so she got a quickie perm while I was eating lunch today. Love her hair color and her new hairstyle rocks. Introducing Heavenly Hiraani (inspired by INXS' Michael Hutchence's daughter, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily.)

I got Anais too, but her eyes are wonky and I have to fix that. This girl's paint is perfection.

Sweet Confection Poppy Parker

Indeed a sweet confection. Give me a tan doll and I'm sold. Original beach girl here. I've heard a few people saying she's "too tan." Pffft. There is no such thing as "too tan." Tan is good. Give me my bottle of Bain De Soliel tanning oil and point me to the nearest beach. I like tan.

Perk Colette wearing her beautiful new gowns.

What's a doll to do when she's the only one of her kind left in a collection? Why, enjoy herself immensely being completed spoiled--that's what! Perk Colette is my only Fashion Royalty doll left. Dressing her tonight in these two gorgeous gowns that I received as a gift brought back many a regret of a sold doll or two, or three, but alas, she was one of my favorites and I'm glad I chose to keep her.

Here are two beautiful gowns ,by the fabulous Kevin Kilmer, that my dear friend, Ginny, blessed me with! SO beautiful!

I decided tonight that I'm going to name her "Maria." For some reason, I keep thinking of West Side Story when I look at her.

Fashion Royalty Colettes

These little beauties from Fashion Royalty sport such attitude. Got a new one today, so I had to show her off! She's the beauty in the middle--and my favorite one to date!

The blonde is Grand Arrival Collette...and she's the rich socialite/starlet.

Lost Angel Collette is the sassy teen.

Perk Colette is the sexy, sophisticate.

I think I need a redhead now. :)

I absolutely love East Indian dolls, so when I discovered that Jason Wu's Fashion Royalty dolls had an Indian doll, Isha, I was in heaven.

.

In blue--my jewel of my Fashion Royalty Collection-- Age of Opulance Isha.

.

Left to right -- Final Cut Cannes Edition Isha (acquired in a trade as a rerooted version of the doll), Riveting Premiere Isha, and Close-Up Isha. The girls are wearing Mattel items excluding the white beaded kurta which was created by Caren. The Final Cut Isha, on the left, was later repainted by Dawn of One Sixth Sense. You can see the transformation if you look in my blog under "Saffron."

.

I'm still hoping to acquire Purple Pose Isha dressed, and Final Cut--Cannes Edition and Hollywood edition --dressed. Dreams do come true. I never imagined that I'd ever see Age of Opulance in my collection, and was blessed to add her during Christmas 2009.

En Yuzen Blossom

En Yuzen Blossom ---Fashion Royalty
.
A gift from my precious friend, Ginny W.
An unexpected treasure that arrived
during a difficult time.

Yuzen is a method of dyeing and dates back to the 1000's in Japan.
Traditional Designs date back to the Heian period.

This doll is especially sentimental to me as she was the last doll transaction that I had with the late Lianne Swann, a dear friend from the doll community. Lianne, you are missed. Painted by my dear friend, Dawn.
