Just updated one of the shelves in my studio.

Was blessed to acquire a new girl, and to return an "old" girl back to her place.

The Color of the Moment --- Melon

I go through phases where I obsess over a color. Right now, it's a coral-melon color I'm obsessing over. HAD to have this gown by Viva La Posh. The color was right on. The style is very neo- classical to me and I'm quite enthralled with this time period. Very pretty gown! I was so thrilled when it arrived today that I had to pull out my art nouveau components and I set to work making her earrings, a necklace and a ring to match. I think they really compliment the gown. Modeling is Jonna, a Madame Alexander Paris by Jon Copeland. I thought the palette of her repaint would really compliment the gown. I probably should have chosen some Pre-Raphaelite looking creature, but Jonna looks lovely in it. Maybe later on, I'll take some Alma Tadema looking images.

Testing out my new studio lights that just arrived, and my new floor (by Raw*Kiss.) Happy day!

Larimar

It was indeed like Christmas this past weekend. The acquisition of Larimar (one of my earlier repaints/reroots) was a special treat. She was a former Dreamgirls Deena that I repainted and rerooted. She fits in so nicely with my Indian girls. I was so thrilled at the opportuinity to get her back! Thank you, Patty! I put her head on a JamieShow replacement body, and she looks INCREDIBLE!

Larimar, named for the jewel, is wearing an exquisite gown by my dear friend, the incomparable Sherry Isenbarger.

Magical jewelry by Shiloh Winter! I love these luminescent milky moonstones!

Colors of India

A beautiful OOAK purse created by my daughter, Jade. So thrilled to have this in my collection. I adore paisley and turquoise, and this was a precious gift as I was recovering from illness. What a treasure!

This top and sari are by Empire and the skirt is by The Almighty Hat.

Shanti is showing off a colorful set by Alwin Roos. Paired up with Earrings by Empire, Necklace by Mattel, Bracelets by Shiloh, and a darling little Embroidered and, again, the little beaded purse by Jade Spring.

India Inque in Metallics

The exquisite India Inque in a Tibetan Lamb wig and absolutely rocking an Alwin Roos design. I LOVE metals! The copper, pewter, and gunmetal in this gown are just gorgeous! The finishing touch---a brushed copper diamond and a liquid copper glass shard dangle from a filigreed copper chain (by Shiloh Winter Jewelry.)

Kinetic Tszche by Park

I recently acquired this beautiful Kinetic BJD Doll by the talented Park. She poses wonderfully and has really lovely resin. In the true vein of the artist, I was compelled to make one change---her eyebrows. (Sorry, it's an illness and always have to make my mark.) (In my defense, they were a wee wee bit damaged. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

Kishiko-- a Mei-toinette

Kishiko (Japanese for "from the seashore") in Tonner's Panache
and wearing a silver crinkle organza top, and jewelry by me.

.

One of the best new dolls in Robert Tonner's collection is Antoinette. She has the most adorable little body, and her poseability is off the charts. One of my favorite classic Tonner dolls is Mei Li. What could be more perfect than a hybrid of the two? So---a Frankendolly experiment was undertaken, and Mei-toinette was the result!!!

I've found that the only doll that works coloring wise is the First Appointment Mei Li. The Bloom Antoinette body is the closest color match to First Appointment. Unfortunately, the new Mei Li dolls (though a perfect color match to Bloom) are too big in the neck hole. Hoping Robert Tonner takes this idea and runs with it. I've shown him pictures, and I'm dreaming.

Kishiko was rerooted & re-homed to one of my beloved friends, Sherry. Now she's called Lijuan...(photos by Sherry I.)
