THE angel behind ANGELS Doll Studio

For years now, I've been meaning to photograph this angel, and today I went to my parent's house, and finally remembered to bring my camera.

This is a marble angel that as the story goes my great-great-great-great-grandfather Andrew Metzger carved. This is the only remaining piece of his work. From what I was told he gave one to each of his children, and one of the aunts got dementia and spray painted and destroyed all but the one that was in my great-grandmother's care. Greatx4 Grandfather was a sculptor in the old country and he created angels for mausoleums and churches. My mother is the guardian of the angel.

My doll studio is a legacy to Great-Grandfather Metzger. This is why my studio is "ANGELS Doll Studio."

Christmas present

Shanti got a Christmas present from my daughter :) ---this black gorgeous top by Dorset clothing. Love it! Shanti does too!

Jewel

Beautiful new Daphne in my collection by artist, Julie Elizabeth. She arrived in this exquisite gown, and jewelry provided by the person who was reselling her. I'm such a Daphne freak. Thrilled to have this beauty in my collection. Her original name was Justine, but she shines like a jewel, and I'm naming her "Jewel" in honor of Julie too since it sounds similar to her name.

Sweet Confection Poppy Parker

Indeed a sweet confection. Give me a tan doll and I'm sold. Original beach girl here. I've heard a few people saying she's "too tan." Pffft. There is no such thing as "too tan." Tan is good. Give me my bottle of Bain De Soliel tanning oil and point me to the nearest beach. I like tan.
